Line-of-business applications
Custom desktop, web, and mobile systems for the work only your team does: requests, approvals, inventories, check-ins, dispatch, and reporting. They connect to the ERPs, SSO, and APIs you are keeping.
Baton Rouge · Louisiana
We design and build the desktop, web, and mobile applications operations teams actually run on — staffing, procurement, payments, and the rest of the unglamorous work that keeps a company moving. On mobile, we specialize in the hardware those apps have to drive. We put AI into those applications — the old ones and the new ones — when the process needs them. We also review software and firmware for law firms and engineering teams — when the code is evidence or a compliance risk, and when a team needs senior or architecture-level review and guidance, including to expand.
Services
Off-the-shelf tools stop where your process is specific. We take that process from a sketch through production on desktop, web, and mobile, then stay on as the system grows. That includes SCO Unix, HP-UX, AS/400, older Linux, Windows XP, 2000, 98, and other systems that never got a migration.

Architecture, rebuilds, and hands-on engineering. We sit with operators, write the software, and ship it into daily use.
SCO Unix, HP-UX, AS/400, older Linux, Windows XP, 2000, 98, and the rest of the platforms shops often will not touch. We work on them in place, integrate around them, or work in parallel to build and migrate to modern systems.
We add AI to the applications you already run — including the old ones — and to the systems we build. That can be intelligent OCR that reads invoices, tickets, or shop paperwork, or letting people work the software through tools they already use, like Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT.
On mobile we specialize in the devices in the field: networked and Bluetooth printers, card readers, payment terminals, barcode scanners, and NFC readers. They are part of the app, not a brittle add-on.
Keep WordPress installs secure, recover from malware, and migrate off the CMS when it is the wrong tool. Spreadsheets and aging platforms become applications people can run a season on — with imports so you do not start from zero.
AWS, Azure, GCP, and other clouds, or your own machines. SOC 2–minded builds, PCI / PA-DSS when payments are in play, and uptime that operators can trust.
Support after launch. When the original request changes — and it will — the software should still be ours to change with you.
Source-code review
For law firms when the code is evidence or a compliance risk. For engineering teams when they are expanding, or when they need senior or architecture-level review and guidance.
Application source, firmware, build artifacts, and the path from repository to what shipped. Marketing claims and architecture slides are not the record.
Law firms when software is evidence or a compliance risk — patents, trade secrets, copyright, acquisitions. Engineering teams that are expanding, or that need a senior or architecture-level reading of the system.
Written so a law firm can use them in the matter, or so an engineering team can use them to change the system: methods, versions, dates, and the trail through the code.
Deep expertise across a wide range of languages: Assembly, C, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Objective-C, Swift, PHP, Python, Ruby, RPGLE, and SQL. That covers web, mobile, desktop, firmware, and the device stacks around them.
Selected work
A sample of custom platforms we have designed, built, and kept running.
Product
A workspace we built for agencies, consultants, and professional-services teams: time, expenses, estimates, invoices, and a signed-in client portal — web, iPhone, iPad, and Android.
Staffing
Outage and non-outage staffing for a power contractor. Replaced a forms stack with a Rails system staffing coordinators can run a season on.
Procurement
A purchase-requisition platform in front of Viewpoint. Field and office staff raise reqs; approvals and job/vendor data stay in sync with the ERP instead of living in email.
Hospitality · Payments
A PA-DSS iOS point of sale with MagTek, Infinite Peripherals, Zebra, and Star Micronics hardware — millions of tickets sold, for use on the street, not just a counter. Built for tour operations that cannot wait on a register.
About
French Quarter IT, LLC was founded in 2011. We work from Baton Rouge with operators who need software that matches how they actually work — not another brochure site, and not a platform they cannot change that only half-fits their processes.
The work includes long-running desktop, web, and mobile line-of-business platforms for staffing, procurement, payments, and the systems around them — and source-code review when a law firm needs a forensic reading, or an engineering team needs senior or architecture-level guidance, including when they are expanding.
We build primarily in Rails and Node, with native desktop where it belongs, and iOS, Android, and React Native when the work is in the field. Mobile apps include the hardware they run with: printers, readers, payment terminals, scanners. When a process needs it, we add AI to the system in place rather than parking a chatbot next to it. Hosting follows the client: AWS, Azure, GCP, other clouds, or bare metal.

If a process is still in email, spreadsheets, or software you have outgrown — if you need AI or agents inside software you already run — or if a law firm or engineering team needs a technical reading of source or firmware, for a matter, for expansion, or for architecture guidance — that is the conversation we want.
